Martin Reunion's of Old

Every year growing up, there were two things that were certain. We would have Pecan Pie after playing volleyball at Thanksgiving...and the weekend after Father's Day we would be at the Martin Family Reunion. Every year we knew exactly what weekend to save to rekindle our family connection with the extended family.

Many years have passed since the days of my youth, but one thing still remains, we need our family. The Martin Clan has grown. The Paul and Rula Robinson Clan is now about the same size as the young Martin Family was when we so diligently attended these summer reunions. Seems that it is time to shift names and begin new wonderful memories for our children.

I am using the "Field of Dreams" approach, If you plan it, they will come. Last year we had a pretty good turn out for a new event. I so appreciate everyone who took time and traversed the long, narrow, scary road to join us.

Special Thank you to all those who came to Apache Lake this summer for the Reunion. It was fun to see everyone that came. This next year, Rhett and Chase have been hard at work picking a place in cooler country.

They were given the criteria of somewhere in pine country, that is close enough for those that just wish to come and visit for the day. For those that wish to stay the weekend we would love to be able to spend more time getting reaquainted.

Location Pending- But it will be close enough to travel for the day.
